Revista Eletrônica de Comunicação, Informação e Inovação em Saúde (RECIIS)
Este estudo comparou as taxas de autocitação relevantes para o impacto de periódicos científicos nas áreas de Odontologia, Cirurgia Oral & Medicina; Nanociência & Nanotecnologia; e Assistência Médica, de 2015 a 2021 e testou a correlação entre as taxas de autocitação relevantes para o impacto e seus fatores de impacto. As revistas de Odontologia, Cirurgia Oral & Medicina apresentaram taxas de autocitação relevantes de impacto estatisticamente maiores em comparação com revistas de Nanociência & Nanotecnologia (em 2015; 2016; 2017; 2018; 2019; e 2020) e revistas de Assistência Médica (em 2015 e 2017). Uma correlação negativa significativa foi observada entre a taxa de autocitação relevante ao impacto e o fator de impacto do periódico em periódicos de Nanociência & Nanotecnologia. A autocitação em Odontologia, Cirurgia Oral & Medicina na série temporal analisada foi notável e a taxa de autocitação relevante ao impacto foi negativamente associada ao fator de impacto do periódico em periódicos de pesquisa em nanoescala. O efeito direto das taxas de autocitação de periódicos nas avaliações bibliométricas deve ser analisado com cautela.
