Esta monografia compreende a apresentação do Allium sativum L. (Amaryllidaceae), que agrupa e sistematiza
o conhecimento sobre a estrutura, características e propriedades do seu uso. O objetivo desse estudo foi
apresentar a identificação botânica, definição das características físico-químicas, conteúdos químicos dos
princípios ativos, propriedades farmacológicas e suas indicações terapêuticas e cuidados de uso.
